Fritz McDermott has been a Research Engineer for the past 10 years. He has more than 40 years experience in welding and project management. As a graduate of the Signal School of Navy, he served in the United States Navy during World War-II; with special honors. Throughout his career he has been responsible for the supervision of many design projects, such as building honing machines and conversion of various sized lathes for drilling purposes. Several large steel companies have employed Mr. McDermott and two airbases as a civil servant welder have employed him. As an independent contractor, Mr. McDermott has experience in installation, retrofitting, and small machine repair. In 1997, he designed the BAFI™ system with his wife, Bettie McDermott. In 1998, Ingen Technologies, Inc. acquired his technology and built the first prototype, which was later issued a US Patent with Francis “Fritz” McDermott as the Inventor. Mr. McDermott continues to consult with Ingen Technologies, and has designed several other technologies as a compliment to the BAFI™.
